Well, today I played around with lowering walls for the first time. When I also read about the trick of wooden walkways I wanted to combine these features. As in

No comes my problem and question. Having saved the map in the editor and opened it again the lowered construction had disappeared. As illustration:

Unfortunately, whenever you lower the wooden platforms, they will always dissapear when you save and load the map.
This is unavoidable, unless you wish to get really complex within your map (I'm talking about using the magic eraser, I won't delve into detail now, though.)

Thank you, Sir Ravenclaw, for your hint.

I'd really like to go into the depths.
So far I've used only the "3x3 Magic Eraser", by Warlord_Designs. Think I understood the advanced articles on Stronghold Knights. But I still cannot see the connection for preserving the lowered construction.

Hey, thank you both.
Best way to express this is to show the result:

For today I'm satisfied (though this bridge is not low enough for looking modest).

It looks good peter!

'bout time you started making maps, after being so helpful to everyone else on theirs.
