Hey guys! I'm creating my own new stronghold story series and now I have an annoying problem : i need to create a mission like the number 10 of the military campaign ("The Snake Hunt Begins").So capture an enemy's command post and than defend it,like a normal invasion mission.
That's the question: how can i set up in this way?

Thx for help

A cede is the same thing as taking over the castle. It works with both Stronghold and Stronghold Crusader. You may want to add the Time Off and Time On triggers as well if you have to defend the castle after capturing it, otherwise an invasion may overlap while you are attacking the castle. Or if your condition was not set to "No Enemy on Map", the invaders will then become your units. The latter could be useful in a reinforcement sort of trigger.

Alternatively, you can make a copy of the file of mission 10 by going to your "maps" folder and finding mission10.map. This will make your own copy of the map, and you can edit it in any way you'd like, such as wiping out all the triggers but the "cede" event and removing everything from the map itself. And to change the size, you can press alt-comma(,) to do so.

Thx man,im starting to understand now.

Now im editing the mission10.map and i found new events like "Time On-Off" and "Give in the castle". I can "unlock" those new features just following your previous advice, right?

Stronghold Knights has custom cede maps with 7 cede events and a cleaned up scenario in their download section.

Cedes are a great way to give the player custom reinforcements too by the way. For instance, if you want the player to have a number of knights, but not right away, you can give them to him by timing a cede event immediately after some enemy knights appear on the map.

Hi Lord Ako
Stronghold Knights has custom cede maps
Is Stronghold Knights back up again? There was a thread here at SHH somewhere announcing that they had closed StrongholdKnights

Sorry, Barricade, if my question is rather off-topic.

Stronghold-Knights is closed. But you can still access archived pages by typing "Waybackwhen" in your search engine. It will open a page of when the site was last accessible, and you can select which date to view from.

Try this:
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://stronghold-knights.com

Select a specific date that you would like to visit before it was closed, and you will be brought to a saved state of the page.

For example:
http://web.archive.org/web/20110716154856/http://www.stronghold-knights.com/ will give you the page's appearance and features from 16 July 2011.

It may take a while to load, primarily because they're archives.

Hey. That is good! ... but so much is still not accessible because the server driven search and next-page functions are not available. We can only see the first pages of each forum I think. Still It is better than nothing I guess.

Sorry, I wasn't aware of this. Maybe someone has these cede maps on their HD, or is able to access them on the SHK site, and can save them from oblivion by uploading here? They're very handy maps because they are large, have apple trees, cede events, custom colors and the crossbow event as well!

We do have these (below) from Earl Listibald in the Downloads Utility programs

Destroy Cathedral utility map
Cede-Scenario utility map
crusader_cede-scenario

But we don't have the great ones you describe with the custom colours. I used one of those for my La Muerte Negra map. They were a super utility for map makers.

Edit:
I found a colour/cede template for Crusader in DLs
Yellow Archers Tempelate for Stronghold crusader + cede castle from SkullHeroLord

I nosed around on the hard drive of my old PC and found I have 3 of the alternate player colour cede templates:
- Cede_utilityXL_black.map
- Cede_utilityXL_green.map
- Cede_utilityXL_teal.map

The in-map descriptions indicate they are by Earl Listibald. I will need to think about how to make them available. I don't want to upload them in my name as they are not mine.

That's great Eric! Perhaps rename the files to homage the original creator?
