In your Stronghold Crusader Extreme HD folder, there is a file called extremeTrail.csv, it can be opened in Excel or OpenOffice Calc. The first column in the file contains the name of the map for each level. I have successfully change the first map in the trail by changing its name. Also, you have to restart the game in order for your changes to the csv file to take effect. I don't know how the other columns work for sure, but I believe these are what they mean:
fairness: This seems to number between 1 and 5, 5 being the highest human advantage and 1 being the highest computer advantage.
start_levels: I have no idea what this could mean. Perhaps the number of starting troops or power level?
num_players: The number of players in the level including the human player
player1 - player8: player1 is always 0 (empty, for the human). The subsequent players are all AI names corresponding to the player slots. 0 indicates an empty slot.
start_position1 - start_position8: This indicates which keep position on the map each player is given.
team1 - team8: These columns are used to set the team numbers. Players with the same team numbers are allied.
aiv_type1 - aiv_type8: I think this is used to indicate what village the computer uses. Each computer has 8 predefined layouts that it can use to build its castle, numbered 0 through 7. What I don't understand is why player 1's aiv_type is not simply always set to 0.
And those are all the columns. Good luck!
