I have been playing around with the editor and made an easy war scenario, It's almost done just needs more testing and tweeking.

Anyone care to try it out and give some good feedback to make this a good map?

20 min d/l, sheesh...

I suggest you limit the zip to one map since the files are so large. You did not path-out the ocean.

Fine welcome for a new map.

I'm not the one who made a game that takes 20 megs for a medium size map, talk to FF about that one, nothing but trouble trying to send it in an email.

Oh by the way, I did path out both maps.

If you don't like like it don't post it.

Not the response I was expecting. It's got nothing to do with me liking it or not, it's just that no one has put enough effort into an uploaded map for me to realize how long bigger files take to download. I suggest uploading two zips so people can d/l the version they want in half the time, no?

In the normal map you can walk your troops out into the middle of the ocean, I didn't unzip the other because I'm quickly running out of space on my harddisk. Maybe something is amiss, that's why I check them even for esteemed members like yourself, hell I d/l my own files to make sure they're right. Sorry but I was short on time hence the short reply, the map looks very nice and I like the water color but the pathing still looks messed up.

Not the response you were expecting, and do you think that's the response I was looking for?

Since this game came out, nothing but whining and complaining, so I did the same as I did with SH2, keep my negative thoughts to myself and take the time to learn how to play the game and use the editor, and SH2 became one of my favorite games along with Crusader.

You as a mod don't have any business making negative comments about someones hard work, that's the way I saw it.

I will now apologize for my rant, no excuse for being in a bad mood and taking it out on you! Doomsword I apologize!

Now on to the business at hand.

Why don't you delete the upload and I will repost the map in 2 files.

The pathing may look odd not doing all of the water, but I covered what was necessary for the map, this map has a bandit camp and in testing I was trying to get them to come into my village close to the center, but I couldn't build a fence long enough to keep them from getting in behind, then I remembered something about pathing, and went back to the editor and set the path where it's needed. If the player wants to go wading into the sea, Oh Well! the attacking troops won't.

On the hard map I just pathed all around the shore line, troops won't cross the pathing.

I will repath the normal map and reupload them in 2 files, if that's good for you. I will wait for your response.

ps: A clan player and myself fully tested the maps, is there anything you see that could use fixing up before I upload them again?

Every single map has had pathing issues and I had said I was going to be looking specifically for them because I believe they are important and easily overlooked. If you want to leave it the way it is I'm not going to stop you, just question your intent, it make sense looking the way it does now. I didn't say anything negative about your work, just matters of circumstance. If I didn't call out every map on pathing, well should a player be able to hide his armies under the sea? That could be an upsetting multiplayer tactic.

Every map has had pathing issues, sorry but my maps are pathed just not to your opinion. And I did say I would be checking for pathing issues, and you should, great, I didn't see that anywhere. You feel that pathing is important, so do I, but my maps were pathed.

I have changed the pathing to suit your opinion and reuploaded "Brukner normal". You question my intent, the maps are pathed as needed, and your comment about people hiding troops in the ocean and it could be upsetting to multiplayers. Yes your right, but my map is not multiplayer so who cares.

And nothing negative, come on, complaining about the size of file should be directed to FF not me, and saying my maps weren't pathed when they were....

Look I know how hard your work is here, and you do a great job of it, especially since you volunteer, I've been in the service business all of my life, even ran my own business, I'm just trying to correct what I see as wrong, sorry if I've pissed you off, it's not my intention.

Lets put this to rest and get back to the business of having some fun.

You haven't done anything to to piss me off, I just have to have a position on these things, saying that's the way you want your map to be is enough for me. Again, sorry, I posted quickly after a long day just to keep the process moving, 'wow' would had been a less suspect expletive, I never meant to insult you we've always been amicable.
