Hi, guys!

I've been playing Crusader 2 for a while, and it is a nice game. It's different from other Stronghold games in some way, but although it lacks some features, it does have some other ones, which is nice - to have this variety...

By the way I am having this issue now and then... When I start the game, it works smoothly, and after some time it may start lagging, so I save the game, exit Crusader 2, and start the game and continue my game. I know some other people were also speaking about having this issue, but is there something I could do not to have this thing happening to me? Can someone tell what is it related to? To RAM memory, to CPU frequency (which I doubt), to CPU cash memory..? Or we can't say for sure?

Even beside this I slowly win the trail missions one by one, which I do find enjoying!

Hey, lol. You're in luck, because it so happens that I, of all non tech-savvy people, have the faintest clue about what the issue is. I don't have Crusader 2, but from my experience with other games, this is a memory leak. Skyrim has such a leak, and that game nevertheless functions very well despite the leak until you start modding heavily. Of course, I expect much more from an AAA developer like Bethesda than I would from Firefly, who, let's be honest here, has been pretty shitty when it comes to making a game with no performance issues. I don't know what it exactly is, something like bad coding? But it's definitely nothing wrong on your end. Good news in that you probably don't need to check your computer, bad news in that there's probably little you can personally do to fix the problem.

Search google, there apparently is such a leak according to others. You could try a program called Cleanmem and calibrate it to clear every 15 minutes or so, I use for modded Skyrim. Though I'd advise you to be careful, don't go downloading the program if you don't trust it. Also, I don't know if it will conflict with any in-built VAC or other anticheat SHC2 has, if it does have one. So. Just a fair bit of warning.

Hi, PAlAT, and sorry for late reply.

Well, after hearing others experiences it does have a lot to do with coding the game, as some players have this issue with better processor than I do, and generally - better hardware.

More then anything else I thank you for letting me know about program such as Cleanmen, I haven't heard about it before. I will definitely try it, although I will check some reviews before that, and I will try to find what others say about it. If it makes things better I would come back here and let you know. It sounds just like a thing that could help many people.

No problem, glad I helped as much as possible. If it indeed is a memory leak issue, Cleanmem should almost certainly be able to fix it, but can't be 100% sure. Still, wouldn't hurt to try
