Littlegloomy AJ came about because some of us are too lazy to type out the full name When you type names zillions of times a day alot of them end as initals

No worries the gloomy, as a matter of fact it's fairly close to my Real Life™ initials. Let's say I'm used to being called "Jay".

Sorry that it took me so long to respond to your post Micah Aragorn. I was away from my computer for a few days.

Your name is now in our Members Table (currently in Reply #435 of this thread). Thank you for posting.

Mmm... Actually just 'Ja' would be more accurate for Jayhawk, if you were to relate it to his Real Life TM name.

I think "Ja", lacks the flair that "AJ" has.

Now how do you pronounce "AJ" phonetically?

Its at this point I must interject. Littlegloomy writes the best comics. I really gotta get that out. When I find funds, I will buy. Just get Graham back in there!

I just pronounce it as the initials - Ay Jay

Of course AJ would sound better than Ja, because the latter is only the common letters between Jayhawk and his real name.

I was thinking it should be pronounced "Aaaaahjuh". (j/k) (sorry Jayhawk, I think I'm beginning to have to much fun at your expense)

Thanks Wraith! (he's sneaky, he's known about the comic for months. However, the compliment is still very welcome, me and my soon to be enormous ego thank you!)

I'll live

a-jay sounds better than adjz

DX, the common one's JJ jay-jay, though, but let's not mix up Real Life™ and Forum Life® shall we?

Hi. I just joined this forum today, though I'm a member of several others (including HG Pharoah). Hmmm, about me:
I'm 50, female, BD July 18, 1951 I'm a web designer, a single (and very proud) mother of an 18 year old model (she looks NOTHING like me!)
I played my first computer game (monopoly) around 1970. I had to sit in a little glass-fronted cubicle (the mainframe was in a sealed, refridgerated room on the other side of the glass.) I had to type my moves on a TTY, get my responses the same way. I supplied my own board and made the physical moves myself so I could keep track!
I also wrote my first program on punch cards to another mainframe.
Maybe that's why I love modern gaming so much. The interactivity and graphics are just so cool!
I still love board & card games & play a lot of Hoyle. I also am addicted to Pharoah, have played all the way through Zeus & Posiedon (but haven't bother re-playing any of those). I have C3, EE, and AOH but haven't really gotten heavily into them. After reading the posts here, I'm going to stop on my way home and buy StrongHold. My military strategy skill are not the best so you'll find me on the beginner help threads very soon.
Glad to meet you all.

Dina

Hi dp3705 & welcome to Stronghold Heaven ... don't think I've ever spoken to a number before Especially good to welcome another female

I'm sure you'll enjoy Stronghold. Many of us come from a Citybuilding background so aren't brilliant at fighting .. you learn quickly though

Hi back. Didn't expect such a quick replay. I use a number because that way I never have to worry about conflicts with someone else's screen name. Besides, it's easy to remember (an old street address) and I don't have to change it from site to site to fit in with the characterization there. I've always resisted conformity. Can't help it - I'm a product of the 60's (Vietnam protests, etc).

Welcome dp37...and so forth. My gaming experience has been almost entirely military strategy although I must admit the real military strategy is not required in most games. The AI and other influences require a sense of gaming strategy.

I am available for hire as a Military Advisor. Some may use the term mercenary but I like to think of it as.. hold on. Did I say for hire? I will gladly offer my $.02 for free to any and all who ask. I can be reached at edpearce@msn.com

I actually do have the credentials to act as a military advisor. I was one. But that was long ago *grin*.

I am not a frequent participant of these forums but I have been known to add a little spice to a discussion. I think Stronghold is a fantastic game for many reasons. I can't wait till Crusader comes out.

When does it come out? Anybody?

Thanks for the offer Bravo6. I'll probably take you up on that! I've already posted questions on the strategy discussion thread called "Beginner's Thread?"

Please Vaia, I'm only 50. I won't turn 51 until July. Let's not rush things!

BTW, is there any difference in duties/responsibilities between seraphs, angels, and cherubs?
