I agree with Bradius here, mouse .. especially with bobT, Mere & I all pulling it upwards (& all older than him). Just shows we have a very wise band of cherubs, experienced in life
I didn't know you'd worked in London Bradius. Lived right in the centre as well. How long were you there?

AJ, the Table in Reply #232 has been updated to include Iron_DragonLord.
There has to be a better way to do this.

I'm glad you liked it, I had nothing better to do. (that is; nothing better to do! )
If there is one thing to be added to the table it would be email/icq#, I don't think scns and reviews are needed...at least not if only stuff at this heaven is included.
Seems to me like we need a script to take care of this or something...I would do it, but I feel it would not be appropriate to store information about Stronghold Heaven visitors in the scnpunk database...better to get it's own then.
Hmm...I'm going to make a fast try on a file-storing script...I just got an idea on how to store it the easiest way.

David,
Members wanted the Table in the opening post so that they wouldn’t have to search for it. I can’t edit the opening post because it is not mine. It’s easy to keep the Table updated, but now Angel Jayhawk has to find the updated Table and cut-and-paste it into the opening post. That is a lot of extra work for AJ. I just thought, “There has to be a better way to do this”.
I don’t want to “steal” mouse’s thread, but would it be possible to put my name as the “Originator” of this thread so I could edit the Table. I would leave the opening thread just the way it is (with mouse’s info), and add an explanation why the thread was put in my name.
I don’t have a problem with the way it is set up now. I just think that AJ has better things to do than keeping this table updated. Maybe there’s another way.
Vaia

Ummm... Why not just create a PHP script on the main site for memebers to inputer their information, but to prevent false memebers from putting info in you could make the script check the forums database to make sure the member exists and possibly request a password?
O.o Ya, that's right, it might take to long to program... Well at least FireFly Studios would say that...

GillB,
I lived in London back in 1983 just after college for 6 months. It doesn't seem like a long time nowadays, but it really was a great time. I had just finished college and worked their on my first job on an internship at Lloyds. It was great fun and great experience.
I took advantage of every weekend and traveled all around the country. I remember even taking a day return train trip to Edinburgh during the International Festival. I left London at like 1AM and then left Edinburgh like at 11:30PM! Everyone said I couldn't visit Edinburg during the festival without reservations long in advance. I had fun proving them wrong. They never thought of sleeping on the train up and back! Something I think you can only do when you are young.
I really enjoyed everyone there. I never played cricket though.....

One tiny little problem might be that the forums are cgi...

True, but isn't there a way to use PHP to retreive the data for members? Like I got a board which is Perl (CGI) but the database are under MySQL, so I could use any old PHP script to request for their board name...
Oh and the part about taking a long time is because FireFly Studios say they didn't make a Human vs AI, such as multiplayer, because it would take a while... But anyway...

I'll update it when you do a major update, Vaia, i.e. post it anew at the bottom of the thread
Sounds easiest (as it takes about a minute to copy paste).
The “age” column in the Members Table @ Pharaoh Heaven has just reached a new upper limit.
Stop by the Pharaoh Heaven thread and wish Gomericus’ a happy 72nd birthday.
The Table @ Stronghold Heaven has had four new entries in the past week. Pharaoh Heaven has had three. At this rate, it’s going to take this Table over two years to catch up with the other one.
