This is just a map I vreated in spare time. I used to make maps quite often but forgot many tricks. So please excuse my mistakes if you should find any. Also, this map seems alot better if you are the attacks. Defending was quite easy.
This small scale siege scenario works very well. The castle is situated on a raised plain and there are two main areas to concentrate the attack (NB: played as attack only per author's instructions/recommendations). With little room to move, the siege takes place almost immediately, and not only do you have to work out which entrance to attack but the castle holds sufficient macemen within the walls to leave you defending yourself as well.
Playability here is very good. First impressions of the map as it unfolded left me wondering how to tackle it and the map has some good replayability too. It's a beatable map but is sufficiently challenging to ensure you slip up if you make a wrong decision. Good stuff.
Excellent effort here. The castle is quite well defended, not just by units, but by some quite strategically placed pitch ditches and hot oil engineers. The small scale of the map adds to the balance issue too, with little room to manoevre and thus almost keeping you on your toes throughout. Normal difficulty is okay, and i'd suggest hard for those more experienced players. I scraped through on hard setting after a couple of attempts, each time the win was a result of some very close calls as I threw all my troops to the keep for a quick win.
A standard siege map, specifically designed for attacking. It looks good and incorporates most of the elements that makes these style of maps work, with various defences to overcome. Whilst nothing specific here shines, it's still a good effort.

The terrain looks quite tempting, if a little crude in areas (cliff faces, for example). The castle here scores the marks for me. Whilst there is no real eye candy to speak of, it's a decent looking castle perched on a cliff top close to the sea, and the layout looks and feels realistic. For someone who hasn't designed in a while, this map has been designed well.
Not a bad effort here, would really come alive if there was a bit more content. The map really deserves a good introduction.
IN SUMMARY: This is a decent little map, impressive in terms of playability and it kept me entertained for a long time. Good to see siege maps on smaller scales too, especially when they work as well as this does. Very credible effort!
