First of all, I'd like to say, it was a great idea.
Playability: The reasons I rated this so low are twofold. First, the early part is incredibly easy. I had no problems getting the people fed, the supplies made and knights ready to go. My people were fat, happy drunks and ready for a fight! The fires didn't even bother me. Second, the knights can't win. I played 10 times and every single time, one on one, my knight cannot beat the enemy knight. I always had it set on aggressive and I even tried directing him into the fight about half the time, with no better results.
Balance: It was a nice idea to make the player start build up the competitors and temporary village before the competition started. Kept it interesting.
Creativity: Like I said, it was a great idea. I like the jousting arena and on one of the plays, the knights even missed each other about 3 times before stopping to fight. That was pretty funny. It almost looked like a real joust at that point.
Map design: It was definitely adequate. The arena was nice. Not a terribly complex map, but not ugly and ineffective either.
Story/Instructions: Again, adequate. Not very exciting, but it gives a background for why you are doing this and instructions to set the final competition up.
I was pretty excited about the idea of something a little different. It's just a shame that the game doesn't seem to allow some sort of 50/50 chance at winning. |

I Loved the Idea! It really fits in with the game!
But the units attacking never appeared on the map, even when my knight was stationed by the flag. It was weird.
The Map itself is a little small, I had no trouble making food and weapons etc.
The story and instructions were good and easy but the attacking units never showed up on my map!
Thanks!

Ok! I feel foolish! There IS a way to beat them, though I still haven't beaten the final contestants. If it had been more difficult to get to that point, I could have scored it higher, but it's still a great concept. I may have to play around with something similar for myself! Thanks for giving us this map.

Refreshing idea. Although I had a little trouble getting enough gold, I soon figured out how to win the jousts. I had no problem winning the game after that. The map is functional and not too big, but it might have been a bit more decorative (for the joust). Nicely done! |

Wow. This was an amazing idea which worked out really well! I throughly enjoyed myself. The map was very realistic, I felt like I was really in a jousting match! The only suggestions that I would give are minor, and are things which didn't affect the game play very much. I think that the user could do with LESS time to get ready. I was ready in plenty of time, and would have liked to be working during crunch time to make it a bit more exciting. Towards the end, I was just waiting for my next match. Secondly, during one of the fairs, after the fair people left, the positive points remained. I don't know if this was done on purpose though. Overall, I loved this mission. Something new and exciting that turned out GREAT! I'd love to see some type of "death ring" where you can use more men. Thanks for the great mission! - Dianna |

I was passing by out of curiousity and noticed there was no the minimap. So I took the liberty of adding the minimap. In the process I had to guess that the version used was v1.1 (the update form insists that the version is now added) |
