This is a fairly easy siege map where the ruined remains of the previous provide some shelter and attack posts for the attackers. There is an obvious passage, through the cave, however it is heavily guarded, and the cliff archers cannot be beaten without archers.
This is my very first map upload, so don't expect any great shakes. But it is ok in my opinion!
*V2
- Added trees and extra scenery
- Reworked the river
- Reworked cliffs
- Reworked starting goods and messages
- Added 'secret' cave
Please can people tell me when they have downloaded/played it, any suggestions would be great! Thank You.

Playability: 3/5
Fort Keep is a small-scale siege map whereby you have to fight your way through a series of defence lines. I found the map to be okay to play, but didn't really hold my interest. That said, there's quite a lot to do in order to beat this on attacking (and likewise defending). A pretty good effort in terms of gameplay for this first submission to the site.
Balance: 4/5
On normal difficulty, per the instructions of the author, this proved to be quite a good fight. The layout of the map is such that you are under attack from a variety of angles, which poses some problems as you try to carve a path through to the keep. Not only that, but all enemy troops need to be killed as well as the Lord in order to beat this, a nice touch and certainly adding something to the difficulty this map offers. Very well thought out.
Creativity: 2/5
I found Fort Keep to be an okay map, but overall the creativity side is lacking somewhat here. Credit given for having to take out both the lord and the troops, as well as the almost maze-like appearance of the defences. It would really benefit from something a little different in terms of design though.
Map Design: 2/5
The functionality of the design works extremely well, and with no starting gold to produce siege equipment or shields (was this intentional?), the map layout is such that you can attack from at least two sides. However, I have to be honest and say that I fond the use of terrain tools to be crude and with no real landscape to talk of, the map looked basic and a bit ugly. Given that this is the first submission to the site i'm sure that mapmaking skills will improve with a bit more practice, and we all have to start off somewhere ;)
Story/Instructions: 3/5
Not a bad little story here as well as some instructions on how to play the map. It's clear that effort has been given in this area. Expanding the story or theme with both content and a story that really grabs you will no doubt attract more downloads.
IN SUMMARY: There are some good quality elements available here, and whilst the map is small and fairly quick to beat, it's not a walkover, with one or two occasions when I thought I was going to lose. A good start, and with some more mapmaking practice in terms of landscape and castle designs i'm sure the author will improve. Here's hoping you keep up the design work :)

I agree that it is ugly, and thank you very much for your advice, I will now be working on a reworking of this map, to make it nicer and maybe harder...!
