Playablity: 4/5 This is an entertaining and fun scenario. A tricky siege to begin with, which seemed simple but caught me out first time, is followed by some large invasions to defend against. The economy is already up and running and other than a few tweaks here and there it should look after itself - this is no bad thing though, it allows more time for defences.
Balance: 4/5 I played a couple of times on 'Normal' and once on 'Hard' and that was a good enough fight for me. As is the way with cede maps, the more troops that survive the initial attack, the better off your defences are. The short length of this map highlights this aspect and the player will need to rely on other forms of defence for assistance. The invasions are threatening enough and will cause problems, although it seemed some wanted to congregate at the other side of the castle before attacking, which was a shame.
Creativity: 4/5 Nothing original really, but the scenario is interesting and plays well, with no ecogoals to aim for it should be suitable for any playing ability or level. Not many events in here, but they're not needed as its a relatively short game where the fighting takes precedence.
Map Design: 4/5 A good looking castle set in a well detailed and believable terrain, the authors have used the design tools well to make a pleasant landscape. No outstanding eye candy as such but the overall map looks great.
Story/Instructions: 3/5 A short story in the game and the download instructions are clear enough.
Overall this a well put together and enjoyable cede map, if your looking for a shorter map with a good fight, then this is for you. The fact you can also play this at different levels adds to the replayability greatly. A straightforward and effective map, well worth a look.
