This is the one I spent all that time searching for. I believe this music will only play during an Invasion or campaign map. You can only get it to play on a siege map if you at some point played the map you are designing as an invasion, saved it, changed the file from a .sav to a .map file* and then reopened it in the editor and changed it to a siege map. The tune begins with a single flute accompanied by a solitary drum. Exactly 10 seconds in the mandolins start. My favorite in-game tune. It is upbeat and at 4 and a half minutes, longer than most tunes. If you are creating an Invasion and do not have a siege or any enemy forces attacking or on the map when your game begins, you can program this song or any tune for that matter to be the music at the start of your game. it can also be the tune playing when you access the map in the editor. Simply wait until the tune plays while you are in the map and then save the map. It must however be your final save. Just a programming trick for those interested.
Update 11/07 I have left a couple of steps out of this music programming trick. To set the music you will have to play your finished map as an invasion, wait for the music you want to start**, save the map, use the .sav to .map trick and then you will have the music as your starting tune. You can then of coarse change the invasion to a siege, etc.
* Don't know what I am talking about? READ THE FORUMS! This is how you get buildings and houses to come alive on a siege map and in the editor. No more floating red circles above your village!!
** As I am sure you have noticed The music plays on a loop. It's sequence can and is altered however, by certain actions. I plan to compile a list of this information plus clarify the above instructions for a forum post, Wish me Luck!

Brilliant use of the many medieval instruments and of course the wooden flute.
No complaints here, except that I don't hear it enough.
