This is my first map that I have submitted.
Currently I am working on a second map and All suggestions and critisim are most welcome.
For the more experianced players I suggest you play this map on Hard or Very Hard

The Story

You have spent 20 years building your dream Castle and now its almost complete. Unfortunaly a bandit lord has taken a liking to your castle and has decided that its time for a change in ownership.

Like nearly all the maps on the site there is nothing clinically wrong with the map but there is quite a lot to improve. The map is very short - space it out, have drawn out devasting invasions taht you have to rebuild after, rather than the siege like approach you chose. The map is easy too. You could easily make this harder, another couple of invasions, siege weapons, less defenders, less pitch... The list goes on. However the map is still fun to play and defend. The fortress itself is too crampt on the interior and the keep is out of view of the map. Bring the fortress in it so you can see it all. The actual design of the fortress is simple but perfectly adequate. The map design too - nice trees around the map but there isn't much else - put in hills, stones and rocks. Experiment with a few of the editor tools and I garantuee you results. For the storylien and instructions there wasn's much - not particularly origional especially the name. Take some time thinking of a good stroylie. It adds extra to the map. Overall thsi is definitley not a bad effort especially for a first time effort. Things will only get better with practice so keep going. Well done!

Thanks for the review NAT, due to work commitments it may take a little time for me to impliment your suggstions.

The crowded interior of the castle was done to create a fire hazard as my orginial intention was to have a few fire events.
The pitch was added as fire was to be a hazard to defenders and attackers alike.

Am not sure if having a few fire events would have made the map any better.

Feel free to tweak the map as you see fit, all i ask in return is to be able to play your version of the map before anyone else.

NAT I don't think it is neccassary for me to change the map myself - as the change I wuld make would be too major which is moving the entire fort away from th edge so all of it can be seen. This is maybe a point that you can use with your future maps. Keep at it though. When we started were quite similar so you will improve!
