You have been on the run from a wolf in man's clothing. You have finally brought what remains of your people to a quiet secluded part of the kingdom that you think you can protect and build up. Beware, though! There appears to be a sabateur among you, who seems determined to destroy all your efforts!
The Promised Land by Passion is a fun map with an interesting premise!
The story in the map is more extensive than the one on the description page, and nicely sets up the premise about finding a refuge. The minimap on the description page doesn't show up, but there's one included in the download.

The map is nicely designed, with a good balance of natural looking resources. Nothing terribly unique, but fun to look at while playing.

This was an enjoyable map to play, meaning that it was easy to keep the people happy so I could concentrate on achieving the goals! I could also tell the effort that went into the scenario - i.e. the balance between what resources were available on the terrain itself, and which ones were available to purchase. There was a nice balance between good things and bad things that happened, and they were spaced pretty well. The scenario was enlivened with comments that fit nicely with the actions of the bandits and the storyline. I would probably give balance a higher score, except that overall it was on the easy side. And a note to potential players: this map requires the patch, in order to accomplish one of the goals.
