You have retreated and re-built an abandoned castle to try and hold off bandits, from the next county, until more men arrive. The bandits approach and out numbered you would think your men were afraid since they were out numbered, but as you look at them they are not. There was once a roman soldier who own then castle, none to be the bravest warrior, and it is said that who ever defends this castle will ahve his courage. Now the courage is with your men defending it, and against those who attack it. He is with us.
This is just a small map I put together to keep everyone busy until I get my other maps finished. I am open to all tips and reviews.
Thanks and Enjoy!
Very nice map Tedman. VERY nice. The first thing that really caught my eye was the story. Very catchy...
Its really fun. your not given alot however you have to fend off a huge army. I really enjoyed sending the knights on quick dashes into the siege equipment. Awesome stuff, but not quite a 5.
Balance: 64% losses on my first try. I dont think you could nail it down any better. Given the oh....30 odd troops I had, I was fighting off pikemen with my crossbowmen. Its probably the highlight of the map.
Creativity: Its original, what can I say!? Im pleased to see the wooden castle there too, added a nice ironic touch to the mighty fortress.
Map: The only cause for concern. to the north of the castle there is an alcove of sorts that the soldiers walk to initially. Its quite a pain to have to wait for them to walk all the way around the castle and back again. Personally I'd suggest cordoning it off, so they cant do that.
Story: Its a genuine original. I saw no grammer mistakes, well formatted and well written.
Good job :)

Great job Tedman. Your story was well written and i also liked the heading.
Its a fairly good stage. you don't start with many troops but suprisingly you can fend off a huge army.
Balance wasn't bad and i also used the crossbow men to good use.The map is plain but nice map and the inclusion of a wooden fort was also good. A few bare spots but other than that a enjoyable map. Worth a look at, Good luck with future maps

This map was a lot of fun. I firstly retreated my knights to the keep and let my archers have a good shot at the macemen approaching. After it was clear they were going to get through I sent my archers back to the inner wall and let them destroy the gatehouse. After that I simply summoned all my crossbowmen and archers in the placed that needed most help. Eventually they got through the think walls, but my knights and the retreated archers found it reasonably easy to kill the last of them. The map was a little too easy, and I stress little. It was also quite playable altohugh there were a few issues of men just standing about. The map design was great, fantastic use of dirt. This merited a high four. Not that creative, and just a very simple map, it was fun refreshing and enjoyable. The storyline was short and sweet but had no real weight to it as it did not drag me into the map. Overall, a very nice effort Well done
