This is a map using the Cede Castle trick. You start with a castle but it has no defenders. An army of the Rat arrives but quickly changes to blue.
The Placement of your reinforcements is crucial to victory. If you place them in the right spots it will be fairly easy. In the wrongs spots, it may be tough. There are two vulnerable gatehouses in the castle so you have to decide how to split up your ranged units.
Play on Hard or Very Hard. No Economics needed, just defend the castle.
There is a small hidden city, kind of carved into terraces behind the castle. Protect the innocent people inside!

I was randomly creating a castle, I wanted the Keep courtyard raised above the rest of the catle, that was really the only idea I had in my mind, so when I had finished I realized that I had subconciously created a Helms Deep. :)
I though you would be the one to point that out NAT. ;)
This is a fun short invasion with a brillaint creative touch. The idea of the army arriving and becoming yours is great - I have no idea how you did it. it is for that reason why a 4 was rewarded. The map is very playable and well balanced. good advice with playing on hard or very hard - makes for a close map although thew AI are not too brillaint so only a 4. One thing I built in when playing the map was a huge staircase down to the walls going away from the castle. This enabled archers and crossbowmen to get into the towers at the end of the walls. Map design is where the map slightly flopped. The fortress was very similar to Helms Deep (could have passed as one). Could have been better here. Also a lot of the map is very plain - a lot of empty of grassland and plain mountanside. Add in more map design features. A nice story and a good idea to a map. It was the site description that made me download the map so good work. Overall a fun short invasion with two invasions of a Helms Deep like fortress. One thing though - no need for the slaugter of many - keep to hidden city. Good stuff, it was great to play.
