Kashmir Land of Wonder

Author File Description

Map Size: 300x300 (Medium)
Difficulty: Normal
Minimap:
This is the first Crusader map that I have made. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have had making it and playing it. Be ready for anything. Kashmir is a beautiful place but with it comes a lot of dangers! You will need to acquire bread, apples, cheese and swords. Make sure your people have enough to drink or they just might skip out on you.

Here's a fun economic map! Technically it could even be called an invasion, as there are a few small invasions... they function more as bandit attacks, however, something to spice up the action.

14 game years in and I had met all but one of the requirements: gold. The need to acquire an additional 3000 gold to meet the 5000 requirement meant that I had to maintain a stable economy for a while. Easier said than done, as there were plenty of scripted events to keep me busy, and to keep the peasants alternating between satisfied and mad. There wasn't a time limit - it might have been more challenging to play against the clock, but I was equally glad NOT to have a time limit. :)

I really liked the look of the map. A meandering river in a valley... it looked very natural and enticing. My only suggestion would be to rough out the river edges, i.e. not have any straight lines.

No story or instructions except for what is on the description page, so I'll give this category a minimal 2.

Very good work - just add a story and it will be fantastic!

I really liked the map - it's beautiful and detailed. All the resourses are easy to take, so it wasn't difficult at all. However, lots of fire dissapointed me, so I changed the rules and got the pleasure anyway... ;)

Thanks for the map!

peter2008 The scenario is nice, not more, not less. The land looks indeed very pleasing with such a big river and the huge greenery along it. All resources are in plentyful supply. And numerous are the events, mostly bad, some really annoying. Some fires are strong and lion attacks may massacre the population. Tricky: theft from the granary. When certain foods have been blocked for consumption meeting the request is still endangered. Most events repeat, so sometimes they take place unnessecary or even pointless. This spoiled my identification with the mission. The map lacks a real "story". There's no need to find out any economic sequence. So this mission felt more like a castle builder with many obstacles.
