After successfuly holding off the snake almost 100 of your troops were ambushed by the pig. Taken to one of his cruel and dark prisons prisons they must now rely on there wits and military knowledge if they are to have any chance to escape before the pig arrives to rip you appart.
An original and playable map, here. I don't think I've ever played something where my people are inside the castle, trying to break out! It was fun to smash my way out of the cells and then join everyone up, and go charging around, killing the Pig's men. However, you seemed to have rather a lot of men for the number that you had to face, especially as they were all spread out. It made it a little unbalanced and easy, and I had a lot of men left over when I had won. It doesn't make the map any less fun, however, and I'm certainly going to give it a go on a harder setting. Nice map design and a very original "feel" to the map means a nice high score. Great work!

This is a great map, made harder by the time limit but so close to a much higher score. The map is very close to 4.4. The map si wonderfully playable - break out and gather your forces, despatching many guards as you go. There is a time limit which makes it harder but the map si satisfyingly easy. Did not quite get the idea behind the battering rams - they could not go anywhere. Your assult on the last castle just has to be fast. There is not ot mcuh skill involved . I lost first time round becuse I had a few last emn to kill before the lose event occurs adn teh army of the Pig arrives - nice touch. Lovely map designa dn a very cretaive idea. Map design 4.5 really but maybe balance 3.5 so it balances out. Really creative and well designed stuff. The best castle work I ahve seen from you. Keep it up as in my opinion this is the best in the series so far and I ahve reviewed every single one nowI think. there was better storyline next to the map but and it was nice to see a little on the site as well - would love a minimap (is it possible) on the site as well. Overall lovely stuff, nearly 4.4. Great work!

Good job michael i finished it and i am now up to your 10th map. i didnt know whether to mark it but i did. It was fun. I've never played a map like that before. It was very creative and well designed. But the only thing is i had a few too many troops left over but that doesn't really matter because it was fun.
well done!

"Pig Food" is an intriguing map and was an enjoyable challenge to play.
You are faced with a maze of waterways, gates and buildings of various types. And you find your troops locked up in various cells in different parts of the map. Your poor engineers are about to be hung! I had never seen anything quite like this before.
Emperor Alexus did a fine job creating the rocky terrain cut through by waterways. There are some nice stone buildings and fortified bridges. As an additional bonus, there are a few pieces of siege equipment stashed away that your troops just might be able to capture from the enemy and put to use.
I found the scenario quite hard on NORMAL setting due to all the units guarding the keep. I did manage to kill the enemy Lord on my second go but only then did I realize that victory required all the enemy troops to be eliminated and I did not succeed at this.
The story was a bit short but gave a good background to the scenario. Emperor Alexus also made good use of "messages" from the Pig to set the urgent tone of the game.
Keep up the great work with these creative maps!

A great fun short map to play! And it really adds something new to the series.
Playability 5: I played it on normal and was not too taxed by it but the enjoyment was in deciding where and when to break out of the various gaols.
Balance 4: As I wrote above it was not too tricky on normal but I see it would get much more challenging on Hard or VHard.
Creativity/Map Design 4: A nice selection of fortifications for the gaols and thoughtful placement of guards. And a little adrenaline boost as I reached the end to hear a warning of invasion before I had fully eliminated the original guards.
Story/Instructions 3: No mini map on the site but I'm getting used to only having a very brief story provided on the site. This time the site story was quite good. The in-map story was very good. I feel it is the best so far in the series.
In Summary
A very good, short map, challenge - one of the better short maps I have played. A really good episode for the series. Well done author! (I wish you could put minimaps up on the site but I see from one of your posts that you are unable to, which is a pity.)
