This is my first fantasy series.
The main story -
Alderland is a beautiful western coastal country. A mighty stalwart against the ever growing barbaric empires. In recent years, the throne had been taken by an unrightful king. He had self proclaimed himself after killing Endelin's (The rightful heir) grandfather. When he fled with his parents he was found by the kings servants and fled while his parents were murdered. With him he carried "Narchal," the sword of his grandfather. The only token he had proving he was king. He changed his name and grew in stature and in favour with the captains of the Alderland army. He has been appointed a high ranking official in the dwindling Alderland army. In his late twenties he moved from the county being ruled by his younger brother to Celvenport, the large harbour city of Alderland, where the king resided. The time has now come for him to reclaim the throne and restore the glory of Alderland! But the king's corrupted servants and the barbaric empires stand between. Endelin learned that the evil king is in cohortance with the powerful barbarians and has been slowly breaking down the Alderland army on purpose. With little defense left at Celvenport, Endelin learns of the barbarians plans to attack. The king coincedentally retreats to one of his northern counties while he leaves the Celvenport to be destroyed and all it's inhabitants murdered. Endelin sent to his brother for aid, and he sent it speedily. Many ships full of men have arrived in the harbour to aid in the defense. Get them to the southern walls which have been breached in many places by the king before he left. If Endelin can take lordship of Celvenport he can create an army large enough to overthrow the king, for many opressed people will flock to your banner. The salvation of the west now rests on the young heir's shoulders. Good Luck!

i thought the map was great with some good map design and some really nice boats, i just picked out a few flaws like the ruins are a bit plain mate =S but overall is a really good map i liked the story like and the enemy attacking from the boat although when they get to your walls they just stay there and do nothing. That was a downside. The story line is really good and im soon gonna bring my own story out with some nice map detail although it will take some time. I liked your map and i enjoyed playing it only bad thing is buildings have no labour and the map design could be improved slightly not far from a 4.

I think I have the updated version of this map... i must say that it is a bit tiresome having to re-review the whole time - it is fine to update to fix a certain problem but when maps are updated 3 or 4 times it is quite annoying and confusing.
Anyway onto the review of this map which was a good all round invasion, very unorthadox and slightly strange to play. I plugged all the wholes in the southern wall with wooden pallisade, built a wall going straight through the apple orchoards defending from when men come across the ford instead of the bridge and changed the stonework very slightly around the bridge so I could put in a gatehouse so when the enemy came down from the bridge thay had to g trough the gatehouse. Still I did have good fun defending the but even on the hardest level the map is too easy. For map design and creativity I think 7/10 is about right. The city is huge and to be honest quite confusing. I liked the port side of the cty verygood but found some of the huge stonework too complex and unnesacary. Also having oen side of the city covered ith apple orchards was a little strange. But I suppose this is afantasy series and a 4 for creatvity seemed right. Also I didnt like the way that trees covered the map as well. Howver some of the castle work was very good indeed. A nice long storyline here sets up for a good exciting series. So overall a good fun map, slightly odd but well designed in placed, just a little flawed. Will look forward to the rest of the series.
