Your Kingdom is hanging in the balance, a massive army is coming to remove you from the throne.
Your only hope lies in the castle built by your forefathers. You must defend the castle and your
crown or die in the process.
This is my first proper siege maps, i have made other maps but this is my first attempt at a real siege.
I playtested the map from both perspectives. For most fun i suggest defending on very hard, and if you
stuggling attack on any level.
- there is a lot of pitch so watch out!!
- 2 entrance to the castle, main gate and the sally port near the docks.
Plan your attack carefully.
I won on defense the first time I played, but tried six or seven times as the attacker and the most I was able to do was knock down the front gate house. My attacking troops were mowed down grass. The pitch factor was probably overdone a little, but I still found this an entertaining, scenario, and challenging to the maximum. The castle is very well done, and I think may be invincible. I think either a few less defenders or alot more attackers would have made this a better siege, play balance wise. Its a fine first siege in anybodys book so I have to say, "go ahead and give it a spin".

Edster - this is easily your best one so far. Had you not told me to play as the defender, I would have rated rated it higher. As the defender, this is an extremely easy scenario. It is as the attacker that the scenario is fun.
I managed to complete my siege with just a tad under 30% losses, but it took some long studying of the Castle to decide what to do. Even then, I wasn't sure it would work. When I got to the critical point, I saved the game, so I could go back and play out Option B if my first option was a no go. After I won with Option A, I played option B just for kicks and won, but lost 90% of my troops.
Instead of tweaking the Castle, change the storyline - give people a storyline where they must attack instead of defend! That is all this scenario needs to be well above average.
