Due to the civil war in France a battle in Azincourt took place and the English defeated French army. The English king was asked for help by Burgundian duke, one of the participants of civil war. Previously, the French throne occupied by Charles VI a 12-year-old boy influenced by his mentors. Four year after Azincourt, there was an attempt for peace, but it ended up by catastrophe the Burgundian duke has been murdered. A year after queen Isabella intrigued against her own son (Dauphin, son of Charles VI.) and, after negotiation with English, forced him to renounce the French throne. This happened 1420 in Troyes. Wedding between Henry V. and Charles’s sister Catherine was to ensure that the French crown would pass to the English hands. Meanwhile the English captured Normandy, Breton and as the Burgundian duke commanded not only his land, but also lands called Artois, Hainault and Flanders, king owned just the remains of country south of river Loire. Dauphin’s Mentors always preferred negotiations to sword. But two years after treaty in Troyes, Charles and Henry had died. Henry V. left a 9-month son. The king’s brother, duke of Bedford, decided not to risk its journey to England, where the descendant should be coroneted and he took the decision to definitive campaign against Dauphin. He started to prepare a strong army. So this was Dauphin’s situation. Threw out by his mother, oppressed by his enemy, who had a dominion on the battlefield, embosomed by bad mentors, with an insufficient army, supplies and money. There was only one thing that should help France… Miracle.
This is quite a good map. The main castle was well desined but in my opinion it had way too many buildings, this made the stage look too cluttered. I like the idea of killing the kings but i don't think much thought went into the design of their castles. Most of your focus was on the large castle and it shows, the rest of the map is pretty average and i have seen better from you. I did however really like your story, you put alot of work into that so you deserved good marks. Overall a fairly basic and fun map to play. Keep up the good work
