This historic event took place in the 1400ths with the rise of Joan of Arc a little later.
A city in France has held out against the attacks of the English (the pig) It is well defended but still requires more men to man the walls and more peasants to man its facilities. The city got reinforcements from the Duphon of France, being led by Joan of Arc, a peasant girl who claims to be a messenger of God. The city is ready to make an assult and destroy the English outpost to the west and Their main Stronghold to the south. After many days of planning the campaign is decided, but some of the Commanders do not except a woman leading an army and comanding them, therefore they set out early in the morning to take out the English Outpost. The battle is fierce and many are lost, afte the English send reinforcements the French pull out, after all their main army was still in the city. The small army is defeated outside the city walls, but makes an affective stand until they retreat. When the English hear of this uprising they begin to send troops to the city to fill the moat and weaken its defences. Although food will not be a problem and supplies are good. It will be up to the new recuits to decide the outcome of this glorious battle. Many more English invasions will be sent and the wall may be breached, but if the men defend their Lord and Joan they will be succesful in Defending the castle and laying Siege on their structures. The Battles will leave the French army crippled but not destroyed and will still have enough resources and men to lay siege on the Stronghold to the South. How these events take place and how you execute them, will be up to you.
So the map is fairly simple, hold out the enemy attacks,
then lay siege on their Strongholds, sounds easy but it is not, Map is best played on Hard and V hard. You have many supplies so there should be enough to last you the whole battle. Many enemy invasions will come at the city and the walls are not properly defended. You MUST control the troops outside of the city in the first small battle since they will be useful later on. You start out with many units but that is just enough to hold the enemy at bay, you must make more weapons and recruit more men to lay siege on the final outpost. Lastly Have fun and enjoy the map, if you feel that improvements must be made then tell me and i will make them. This is not my usual Lord of the rings style maps but is something new. And another thing, for those of you who think i stole the idea or copied the previous map called " Joan of Arc Orleans" then you are mistaken, this is a different setting to that and was made from scratch, that map inspired me to make my own.
Keep track of your castle and your men.
Do not attack early in the game as you will be defeated easily
The map does not last 100 game years only as long as you want it but invasions will only occur the first three years.
Nice map - really fun to play! I liked the mixture of atatck adn defece although did think that making crossbows was slighty weird. I have played this map through twice on normal and on hard. On normal I attacked the castle during the invasions and did defeat it and then held off the invasions. On hard though I followed the advie of the author and held the castle and attacked afterwards. Better on hard although it was a little wierd after all the fighting just to be sitting in the castle and making crossbows - shoudl have been invasions throughout, smaller though! It was also a bit wierd as there was not much room to build any fletchers workshops as there was a full economy all ready happening - could have had more space. The map design is very good, loved the countryside and fortifications - good work - getting nearer to taht 5 for map design. The map si very creative - would have liked to see more archers though on a hundred years war map! The English used a lot of archers. The storyline is very good, very nearly a five - you have put in a lot of work! Good stuff :) Overall a fun map to play (defence and attack) and well designed too. Great stuff!
