I was first attracted to this map as we are making our own version of minas tirith at the moment. My first impression was that you probably could have done more to create a curvature in the walls. However, the playability was really very good as I loved defending on both sides. The game was controlled by many boiling oil engineers which could do some serious damage. The castle was very good - I really loved the paved city. However, the men could find a way through as small gap in the third (I think) wall - This destroyed my strategy and was a little annoying - but I suppose it kept me on my toes. The balance was very impressive to. It was just too hard for me, but it was a close fight. As for map design - the city was good, which would have earned a 4, however there was no attempt at landscape. I know that pellenor fields are supposed to be plain, but no real effort was made here bringing the map design to a 3. The story was small and uninformative and could definitely be improved on. - Overall, a good fun playable map which lacks slightly in areas which could be improved quite easily. - A great play!
