Argyn Moor. The 8th and greatest citadel of the Empire, second only to Mordok Vale. For centuries this venerable fortress has watched over the Western Empire. But now the wildmen of the north have ovverun our country. The Imperial forces are in dissaray, being pushed back wherever they face the enemy. And now even Argyn Moor has all but fallen. It is up to you, commander of the Kings Heavy Legion to break the siege and save the survivors. But a massive wildmen regiment marches toward you...
This is the first map I have submitted, so any comments either positive or negative would be helpful. Thanks.

Jax Omen - This is your first map? You have made an excellent start.
Argyn Moor presents a ruined complex of stone walls and towers with a central keep. Surrounding this is a wooden wall and moat. The fortifications are created partly with enemy colors and partly your own. Your own troops are scattered around the edges of the map and also in the center. It is quite a challenging situation the player faces when beginning this scenario.
The castle ruins are well created and I enjoyed the combination of structures, earthen walls and moat. The terrain modeling around the castle could be improved; some of the land forms are rather square. But you hardly have time to notice this as you fight for control of the center.
It took a couple of tries but once I worked out a strategy it was not too hard to achieve victory. I chose to take the keep first and go back later to mop up the various enemy units standing around the map. Reducing the number of "friendly" units a bit would bring this into better balance. I almost gave you a 4 for balance but since I won on my 2nd attempt with plenty of units to spare I felt I had to give you a 3.
On the positive side, because of the design there are a number of different ways to play this map. And you can conduct the battle on several fronts at the same time.
The story is imaginative and clear but it is quite short. I encourage you to expand this a bit and also include a minimap and maybe a screen shot on the download description page.
This is a very good map and could be made better with a bit more work. Great first effort! I look forward to seeing more of your creations on the download pages.
