Move in on the Wolf's territory and create a powerful Stronghold. The wolf will stop at nothing to rid himself of you and launches brutal assaults to get the job done. If you can survive and become strong, you may be able to get a little payback!
This is a fun and busy invasion that combines the best of the economic, battle, and defense strategies. If you're overzealous with catapults you're almost certain to render the game unwinnable!

I have played this map once on hard, I needed to restart once.
Playability : The map starts good, you have to place a keep, and build a small number of defeneders right away.
You will need those, because you are attacked right away, the result will be that all but your Lord are slain.
After that there is a LOT of down time in which nothing happens exept the occasional plague and bandits. This is for about 1-1.5 hours of playtime. After that you'll have a great castle and the Wolf starts to attack relentlessly.
During this I was using trebuchets to destroy the castle that I had to besiege. But because of the relentless attacks I had not enough soldiers left to kill the wolf, before my own Lord was slain. After 2-3 hours of playing that sucks. The scenario was devided in very large time periods in which either nothing or to much happened.
Balance : poor, the scale of it all was just to big and therefore it lasted much too long. The wolf's and my castle were to big, the map was, the invasions were, etc.
I would advice the designer to tone the whole thing down.
Creativity : Nothing special or new but not bad overall.
Map design : It is a nice idea to defend and attack in one map, but the idea was blown out of proportion here.
The landscape was nice, but had nothing special/ beatifull in it. The wolfs castle design was ok, although it bothered me that the only way to get in was via a large stair way, so if you destroyed that you would be left with an impenatrable high plain wall.
Story/instructions : I had a short but decend story, with good spelling and grammar for the change. :)
Not a bad map, but not a good one either, I would only advice playing it as it is now if you like to build 'the best castle'(all building options), and enjoy playing one map non-stop for hours, with quiet periods in it.
