Your county is set by the river solem river. The town and castle rely on the river for fresh water and for watering there feilds. The river over the past few months has dropped dramatically in level despite the rainfall you have had. People have been dropping like flies from illness and people think the towns been cursed.The river flows through a northern sea side county which once belonged to Lord Morbid The Wraithiest. His county was destroyed but he was never found. Rumor has it he died shortly after from desease. Scouts were sent to investigate the river one returned barely alive. His tongue had been removed and the word morbid was carved into his chest.He drew some pictures of what appears to be a large dam blocking the river. And by the way his cloths were soaked in pitch i think there is something happening up there. Take your army up there and destroy Morbid for good there are remains of former fortress at the foot of the cliffs you can seek shelter there. Its vital you sieze and hold the high ground so our engineers can later destroy the dam. Good luck Lord Morbid is a defensive expert.

Borrowing a line from the tunnelers in the game pretty much says it all, "Im claustrophobic you know". Not alot of room to move around on this map, its PACKED. It took me over two hours just to find the entrance to gain access to the castle, and by that time the hordes of crossbowmen and archers on the walls, along with the HUGE areas saturated with pitch, had me whittled down to just a few men. For awhile I had doubts as to whether there was an entrance at all. I played this map at least once on each difficulty level, with pretty much the same results give or take a casualty or a hundred. I gave high marks for creativity because its nothing if not original. The balance is the downfall of this map. Im not that great of player really, but this gives new meaning to the term "one sidedness". The map design was basicaly man and nature gone wild. Craig, it must have taken you a week to put all that stuff on the map. The story wasnt bad, and set up the scene fairly well. All that said, I didnt hate this scenario, and actually kind of enjoyed playing it, as frustrating and far removed from the reality of medieval siege warfare as it is. A few more men on the attacking side (1000), may have helped some. Their getting better Craig, keep making them and we'll keep reviewing them.
