The map of the Pass of Ikhirtamil. Not lotr, my fiction. It's two ziggurats connected by a wal, defending a pass into the lands of Garadok. It's quite old, and shouldn't be too tough a mission. just don't play too hard. the soldiers are still out, not on the walls. place them wisely.
Nice map - really fun to play but too hard! You sayin the site description that this ma is not oo hard but I get slaughtered ever time!It is great fun and the AI do a fantastic job on the map. You have to be careful which is alwasy so good to see - neglectthem and you are in big trouble. The catupults make the map more ntereting but tthe AI attack the gate so well I get anhilated every time. Really ejoyable though - a lot of fun to play! You have com o a ong way as designer - this is so much better than a lot of your earlier maps - superb progress! Map design nearly a 4 - a lovely gat and good sculpting of hills - would have takn ome time but still a little plain. More use of editor tools needed. Needs more storyline and description - lets the map down quite a lot. What you have witen is only sufficient for the average 3.Overall a good map - nearly worth quite a lot more than 3.4. To hard though but great work!

I agree with NAT, this is a fun scenario to play and quite challenging but (when played in a conventional way) quite hard or impossible to beat on NORMAL. I tried several different approaches to this, including rushing archers out to dig moats, but the huge invasions always overwhelmed me in the end. Since you said it was not too hard I thought I must be missing something. My unconventional method (deleting two small sections of stonework to block access to the stairs and rear portions of the structure) produced an easy win, as the invaders did not seem to be able to get through. This is not the most satisfying way of winning, but the only way I found. Playability - 4
So the map is either too hard or too easy depending on how one chooses to play. Definitely needs a bit of work to improve this aspect of the map. Balance - 3
Nice structure you have created. I liked the symmetry of the stonework and the various levels upon which archers can be stationed. However, I suspect that underneath it all there must be a step in the landscape, which the invading troops cannot cross. With all stonework removed, there needs to be a clear path for units to cross.
Overall the theme for this map is fairly standard - defend existing structure against invaders. Playing normally you don't have the time or resources to do very much to improve your defensive status except reposition existing units. Creativity - 3
The terrain was also nicely done with good contours and use of trees, rocks, plants, etc. The cliffs and high ground could be improved with a bit more detail and variations in appearance. Map - 3.5
Zygoman, this a good kernel of a story. How about expanding on it a bit and also providing a screenshot and/or minimap in the download description? Story 3.5
