I choose the name of Dis, as it is the level of hell heretics are senteced to, and the story fits right along with the name. Dis is a small fort/gate to the lands beyond, a sort of undergroud railroad for heretics being persecuted. This is one of my earlier pieces of work, and I went crazy when I discovered how cool large rocks made the terrain look. The fort is built partly on top of a hill, and its flanks are defended by a river that runs across the map, the only crossable point being a small ford enclosed within the fort. Attacking this castle should be relatively easy, as the front gates will fall very quickly, but for a greater challenge, try to dig across the moat and pass through the actual Gate of Dis.
Not a bad map but a real mistake to have the signpost so close to the castle. This is real map design flaw as the map begins before you are ready. Taking the castle was easy - I used laddermen round the back to take over the castle. Attacking the gate and go through was still prety easy but you don't get the victory condition so I tried to do both - go through the gate and take over the castle. As I said above that having the signpost so close to the castle was poor - you should have giventhe map a litle bit more thought and so making it bigger. The map is quite creative though - an nice idea and generally the map design is rather good and the castle work is fine. There is an average site description but only enough for a 3. Overall quite a fun map to play and you can experiment in how you attack it. Not bad at all!
