Taikun Castle is built in a huge valley that in history held a great castle in the lower area, there is no remaining walls or building for the castle was totally destroyed. All that remains is the small artificial river that was created to help defence by early Earl Naden, although this eventually didn’t work.
Taikun Castle learnt from this mistake, King Zaceranda ordered some rocks to me cleared and the castle be built on the high ground. The castle constist of two outer round walls and the inner keep wall. These outer walls are more than 15 meters high, this is not too high when the enemy has siege equipment. The main gates through the castle are protected by 2 towers made by walls, but we don’t think this is where the enemy will be aiming, we have word they will have their siege equipment hit the towers near on the sides of the walls. In front of the front round wall are several large moats these are by no way for protection for there are bridges that cannot be drawn over them. The castle itself is pushed into the mountain on the northeast hill, this is the highest mountain around so the enemy cannot gain the height advantage and shoot down with archers.
Taikun castle has been around for 120 years, King Zaceranda built is in 923, and now in 1020 king Lucida rules these lands. Over the past these lands have been under siege time and time again because of the work put into this mighty defensive castle, but all have failed, this time may not be so.

The castle has been under threat of late, the farming community just south of the castle has been destroyed by the wolf’s men, the farms have been rebuilt within the castle walls for added protection. King Lucida has ordered that the remaining men from the surrounding areas return to the castle to prepare for the time of battle that is ahead. The main forces of the wolf’s mighty armies has not arrived yet but when these men do arrive it will just be a matter of time before these armies overwhelm ours.
The Wolf need somewhere to hide while his armies make a stand against the triple alignments of the Rat, Snake and Pig. Ever since the Wolf destroyed many of the Rats home castles the Rat has been out to get the fiendish backstabbing human being that is the Wolf. After forming the alignment that will cause much devastations within the land of this time, they head for the Wolf. Wolf knowing he will lose turns to us, for the Wolf thinks that our castle along with hist men and some small changes will be able to hold off the massive armies of the alignment. Us the small community recovering from many hard battles, has not much chance unless the men from outer walls reach us unharmed. This will be very hard due to the men roaming the outer country looking for any survivors.
You are Lucida and you have to direct these men where to go and what to do because these men do not have any military background or experience. When the Wolf’s forces arrive it will be up to you to rid these lands of all who follow the Wolf’s flag. You promised that anyone who walks or sails under his flag will receive no mercy for if they were in your position you would receive none.

• Watch your towers and gatehouses
• Kill all siege equipment before killing men
• Take full advantage of the retreat tactic
• Use weapons in barracks
• Engineers stall the enemy so use them to gain time, tunnellers work just fine as well.

I absolutely loved this map! It is visually stunning, has a thrilling storyline, and a fantastic play. This map merited a high 4.6. As for playability, the map was very close to a five. Certain AI problems perhaps reduced the score slightly. This map took me three times to complete and when I did manage to do it, it was by the skin of my teeth! Brilliant! The map design was very impressive indeed. The lovely circular walls and subtle eye candy only increased the impact from a great landscape. If you carry on making maps with ascending skill then you will certainly become one of the greatest map designers. As for storline, it could perhaps have been a little more clear but offered an intro which made me really want to play the map. Remember that people get confused with big names that seem natural to you. Overall, a fantastic map and I eagerly await new ones.

I thought this was a great map.
The AI worked great compared to you other maps.
Playabilty was great i thought there was so much to do having to move guys around at the same time building other men. Also if you didnt build fast enough the enemy would destroy your food and popularity will go. I only just won this map and it was on my 4th try, to do this i used many engineers to distract the enemy. Also i moved many ground troops around my weak points and protected them for as long as i could. Creativity was just above average, i only give 4 because i played NATs round walls before i played this. The main design looked great, the map fit in beautifully and and also looked great. Along with a great map comes a great story, and his was a great way to start the game. I had a rough idea of the map before playing and also some hints. Also a contact email for problems.

I though this was presented great and the map was great overall. Great job, your maps just seem to be getting better and better
