A real tester, I had to start over several times at normal, and this map requires some serious pondering to come up with the right strategy. A very good test for even an experienced player. Believe the listing should have been for hard instead of normal.
I give a three because of the inability of the horsemen to play an effective role in attacking the castle, as well as the high amount of gold given to build seige engines with. Ichose not to do so, but I could have sat back and built trebuchet after trebuchet and pummeled the castle.
The castle is a beautiful work of art, with nice elevations and very thoughtful stonework. An excellent pattern and style make this a fortress worth the taking. Good job!
Map Design: 3
The designer uses elevation levels very well, especially in the construction of the castle itself. The hills and sparse forest areas are very natural and realistic. The rivers, with the elevated sections in the water themselves, look unnatural and needed work. The rock quarries and the fields around them also were out of place and needed work, as well.
A good storyline and a mini-map would have really been an asset to such a good looking castle as the one in this map, and some instructions would have helped, as well.
The designer has great skill at building castles, and the terrain and editortalents are there, as well. Work on those storylines, and you'll be making great maps, instead of just good ones!

This is a good map and good terrain but I dont know it got kinda got boring after like 10 minutes and the castle took me like and hour to siege it seemed like you had nothing really to say for story/instructions but you write what you know. You gave way too much gold not enough archers and there too many rivers to pass through but it was an O.K map.
