I worked a pretty good while on this one adding/taking away making it work just right while i myself agree i need some work on making mountain-type terrain, i feel this wasnt the worst i have made, basicly your atop a decently tall mountain and are the first one in 1,000 years to try to make a settlement there the first two failing, ill leave the rest for you to read in the story....now to describe it a bit better, there are about 4 signposts at each side of the map as evenly spaced as i could get them with distractions and all, this is so you have to basicly use tactics for any invasions that come, the bridge looks kinda funky but its original it is own twisted way lol well i look forward to your ratings and hope you enjoy this map....ADIOS AMIGOS!
This map has lots of resources and a wide area in which to build.
Nice balance of deer and wolves! The distance of the farmland from the keep was also good, as it meant the farmers had to walk a bit.
I liked the general layout of the map, and the bridge over the river. Changing the brush size in the map editor (for the river and the rock sizes) would help to create a more natural looking terrain. You might also mix up the rocks, trees and small hills, rather than segregating them.
Map Design: 2
This 3 for creativity should perhaps be a 2, but I'm pushing it up to 3 because I can see what you were going for. I liked the general concept of building a new city on top of the ruins of previous cities. You might try designing some buildings then making them crumble, to create some ruins other than the few predesigned ones. Nice story in the game itself - you might want to add it to the description page (along with a minimap!) to entice people into playing it!
Overall, a worthy effort - I look forward to more of your maps!
