------the story------ those who have read the book knows what i mean when i says that perrin is defending Emond's Field from the trolloks.. if you won't to know more about the story you better read the books..... ------the map------- i made the village on a hill with tops of wooden walls sticking up and with killing pits around to make the palisade that was surrounding the village in the book. the knights inside the stone-wall-square is the whitecloaks, they will kill the enemy if the are in reach but they will not help you since the cannot be moved away from the square. the watcher on the crest in the northeast corner of the map is Padan Fain, watching over the attacks as he does on the books. he also has his darkfriend with him (note the Wolf in the keep is not slayer so he's not being killed). --------objectives------ 1. kill enemy lord. (to shut the waygate down, and puts an ende to the invasions except for the last big and the pigs) 2. elliminate all enemy units --------hints--------- allways watch where the invasions are, becuase if you not pay attentions to them the will surely reach the keep and you will lose-pity. the best time to attack the keep(waygate) is between 1067 and 1068. GOOD LUCK CARAI AN CALDAZAR! CARAI AN ELLISANDE! AL ELLISANDE ----------------------------------------------------------- -----update----- 1.I have converted the map from .map to .sav and back again so now you want have to wait for the workers! 2. i have adjusted the scenario by having changed some of them to happen a month later.
This was a good fun map to play! Very creative idea and well executed. I played on Normal and won first time quite comfortably. Cows from the catupults were extremely useful in defence and I managed to get nearly all the knights out of the walled area. I know that they should stay there and that you explained them in the story but this is not necessary. Let them run free! I also did not see why the enemy Lord should be killed which I duly did with 20 or so pikemen - it would have been better just to have a defence only map. After a while I retreated my men back and formed a tighter circle around the keep which was very effective and was the key to my victory.
I thought the map was very creative and easiuly deserved a 4. Mpa design was very close as well. It was a tough descision as I thought that the camp deserved a 4 but then the surrounding countryside wasn't too great and thus deserved a 3. 3.5 would have been the ideal review here. I loved all the lowered wooden walls with killing pits - very nice!
Storyline again fine, probably in my opinion another 3.5 but this one unlike in map design rounded up. There was the addition of a minimap which is always good to see and a good solid site desciption. Overall this is a fun and creative map to play. Good work all round!
