This is a story of Duke Charmin of Montre castle long ago . The king sent him and some of his followers out of his kingdom ,because the Duke was getting to popular with the peasants. This scenario is a wonderful test of your logic, tactics, and forbearance...It is better played on easy for the novice.A challenge for those of us with proven skills at normal.I dare say a bit over some heads at Hard. I would take something for your nerves on veryhard.
Quite an exquisite map, challenging yet fun to play!
An enjoyable, playable map, and the granary glitch has been fixed! This time around I finished in about 15 game years. Balance was good, although I wanted to be able to sell stone and oil - all that marshland and no reason to set up pitch rigs! There were more bad things in the beginning (like the bandit attacks) but they drifted off after a time. A time limit on future maps might be a good thing, but given the goals in this one, I can see why you chose not to. Why are there three marriage announcements? :)
This is a very well done map - turn it different ways and you discover hidden canyons and waterfalls! Terrific wood bridges too. Great use of different types of terrain. Just a note - if you look at the map from different directions, you can see areas where the sea was put down with the large brush and not blended in - just something to be careful of. Other than that it was wonderful!

Fine in-game story (more elaborate than on the description page).
I played at Normal difficulty.
All-in-all, a terrific map!

From the description, I feared to face an ultimative challenge. It wasn't, the map plays quite straightforward. But in an interesting and well enjoyable way arising from an exciting landscape.
Trained some additional archers and, guarded by the pikes, I sent them out hunting the hostile animals. Tjis army was right in place to deal with the bandits, too.
The main task consists in etecting spaces for ever more farms. Cleared them from trees and cultivated them. Dairy farms delivered cheese to sell it. Bakeris, breweries and wells filld the gaps. The inns made up a settlement of its own.
On very hard, the only "problem" I had was a full granary. Finished the entertaining mission all too soon.
PS. All the industrial buildings are available. There is no iron or stones on the map, however, and no pitch to sell.
