This is a pleasant scenario, with a lot of good points. The castle is nicely designed, with a lot of room for expansion, but a few flaws are in the design.
Playability: Very nice to play, nice farm system set-up plenty of food available. The enemy armies are ok = a few too many engineers, as not all of them build anything, just stumble into archer range.
Balance: Lack of space makes building a larger armoury difficult; there is need for most troops here so think about how you’re going to fulfil the quest. You need crossbow men for this one!!
Creativity: A very nice and simple idea, the castle is very nice and quaint, would make a good siege scenario.
Map Design: The map design is ok, there are far too many trees, and these become annoying when you need to build lumberjacks to build other buildings. There is no iron or pitch, and for some reason when I played it I could not get the pitch I bought recognised by the game. - I had fifty pitch but the mission still thought I had none. The Moat is far too wide, your archer can just about shoot to the other side!!!
Story: The story, or history of the castle is good, but there is nothing here to tell you what you have to do. Like why are we getting pitch and weapons for 25 mace men??
Overall: This was a very nice mission, and a very good second attempt; hope to see more maps from you. This is a good map to have in you collection if you like economic based sieges!!
