Another great map from nogold57!

This map is very playable and very beautiful to look at! From the minimap in the game it looks as though it's mostly covered in water, but when you open it up, you see that the islands and land areas are cleverly connected by wood bridges and land bridges. The landscape is very natural looking, and there are neat things to watch for, such as the spring in the middle of the cow farm. With careful clearing of trees, there's more than enough room for farms. I liked being able to use the iron mines entirely as money-making enterprises!

While very enjoyable, this isn't an especially difficult map - I finished in 13 game years. I was glad that the goal of 2000 cheese (on Normal) was lessened to 1200 in the updated version(!), as after every inch of ground is covered with production/farming buildings, and the population is at max, it's just a matter of waiting for the cheese to accumulate. To deal with the bandits I stationed all the available knights, etc. near the signpost so they could be slaughtered whenever they showed up. Maybe another signpost or two so I'd have to make the knights run around more - except you wouldn't want to decrease available farmland - a balancing act! Also, maybe vary some of the events? (i.e. mix up the plagues and fires?). Just a few suggestions as balance can be hard to achieve!

Altogether, a wonderful map - very beautiful, can't stress that enough - and fun to play! Looking forward to the next one!

peter2008 "Lord Gildart Expanse" was great. This maps's also great. Nogold57 has executed his style more determined: a wildly shaped landscape that does not make it easy for the player to gather food and expand the "city".
The wonderful landscape is varied, the wood bridges are keen constructions.
Played the mission on very hard. Played in a relaxed mood, so didn't place bad things. - Good so, because in the end, I was desperately searching to find slots for more wood cutter's huts, hunter's posts or wells.
It took its time to collect 2.400 cheese. Had 18 parts of granary full in the end. And also some 25.000 gold saved. It's possible, and it was fun to play this nice challenge.
