At Court, the King's Jester called your lands"Hell's Half Acre". Perhaps he was right but second sons don't always get to choose the land thier fathers give them. But your father advised you to look for the value within any gift. Within the marshes of this cracked and scarred landscape is valuabe pitch. Perhaps even an acre of Hell can yeild a bountiful harvest.
Great execution of a neat concept! This map must have been a lot of fun to design! Lots of segmented land areas, separated by oil slicks and marshland, connected by towers and wood bridges (and it was fun watching the deer racing through the towers). Pirate Roberts paid a lot of attention to detail in the landscape, and it's beautifully done (even though it lives up to its name!). Lots of playability here. The castle was pretty well built up already, but I spent most of my time building up the rest of the map anyway. Wood was hard to come by, but since it could be purchased, it wasn't a problem.
Enjoyable map - creative and different - great job! :)
