Completing he Gate at Wolf Fen was the beginnig of the end for Lord Everett. His zeal to seal the passage from the shore left him unprepared for winter. With minimal stores, most of his serfs died before January. The remainder left after he succomb to illness.
Now you have been given stewardship of this crest of land overlooking the festering Wolf Fen. As the name suggests, the marshlands to the east are populated by ferocious wolves. No man dare seek his fortune there. Yet there is talk of an old wizard who lives among the Lupin.
Perhaps you should leave the old wizard alone, you will need all the good will you can find. With your skill you may find enough defencable land to sustain a stronghold and man the Weir at Wolf Fen.

Here's a fun free build that almost feels like an eco map! The castle is very basic, but more than I was expecting after reading the story line. The keep is protected with a wall to keep the wolves away, and it's possible to play the entire game without going beyond the wall. Past the wall, however, are more resources, so it's in your best interest to set up archers or some military units to protect your workers as they go forth. Hence the feeling of having goals as in an eco map. Interesting and varied terrain, and a fun network of wood bridges connecting the lands around the keep. Great map, recommended!
