Playability: 2. An appropriate start for a series, but a very easy map, even on very hard setting. Eco goals were met fairly rapidly and an overwhelming army is easy to train, even though you start with only enough wood for one woodcutters hut. More scripted events could have livened things up a bit more, there were only some wolves early on. You end up waiting for the easily dealt with invasions to come so the scenario can end.
Balance: 2. Better balancing would have improved what is a rather boring scenario. More scripting, larger invasions, maybe a few more eco goals, or some building of rudimentary defenses could have livened up the action. Making wood more difficult to harvest might also have been interesting.
Creativity: 3. Average creativity. Nothing special to comment on.
Map Design: 3. Nice enough for a small starting map. Flat grassland with lots and lots of trees and abundant game.
Story/Instructions: 3. Short but adequate story.
A bit of a weak start, but hopefully additional maps in this series will provide a more formidable test of our mettle.
