Child, this small shortly-playing siege-map seems to be one of the easier creations by Best Willis.

Your fortification is located in the midst of a neat map, near to the coast of an unknown land, and it's insufficiently occupied by different military units.
The little castle which is embedded into a lovely and pleasant hilly coastal landscape, gives you a feeling of peaceableness and relaxation. But these appearances are deceptive as soon as the enemy attacks.
Indeed, there are a few initial defensive steps made (for example the "killing pits" and the "pitch traps"), but it will be advisable in any case to accomplish further preparations for defence: It will be important to send your 4 spearmen onto the outer walls eliminating the hostile leddermen. Besides, it's necessary to gather all your knights destroying the siege tents near to the edge of the eastern wood in an early phase. Omitting these activities will cause fatal consequences and later you won't get any better chance to resist the enemy's assault. The longer you're able to to retard the fall of the outer gatehouse and walls the more advantageous it will be. As soon as the enemy breaks through, the opponent macemen will start pulling down the outer walls. That's the right moment for your archers to eliminate them one after another. The pikemen who are moving up, mostly will fall a victim of fire (pitch) without any serious damage. Altogether you can master your defensive tasks without any bigger efforts ( I just needed two attempts on normal).
An exemplary Map Design with a well-modelled surface and a quite naturalistic charme. The castle itself is solidly constructed, but there's no special highlight to notice. Generally a good use of rocks, trees, bushes and animals in the editor. I've just got a problem with the uncommon story of a child, cause there's no little girl on the scene.
All in all an enjoyable, beautiful, but relatively easy-playable siege-map for a restful evening on your computer.
A recommendable, well done job, Best Willis.
