In Defense of the King
This is a Version 1.2 map and my second attempt at using the map editor. The hardest thing for me designing this map was balance. It was designed on the normal setting. In a way its self balancing and can lend itself to alot more challenge depending on how its played. The JPG file included in the download is the read me file. (It Contains Spoilers) The map is very buggy on the very difficult setting. I know you may not get the full troop amounts on Hard depending on how you play, but it should still play well.
The map is set in a fictional location in England in the year 1054. The kings forces are recently defeated. You stand between them and the forces that will destroy them. I hope you all enjoy the map. Description:
Dark days are indeed upon us. I send you this message in the most dire of need. The forces of the rebel Lords are at our throats. After the defeat at Cornwall, our forces are scattered. I have taken up camp at Dunham while we gather our strength. The only thing lying between us and the armies of the Wolf is my fortress at Sedwick.
I am dispatching 50 of my finest knights to help you defend the fortress. As long as the fortress is occupied the Wolf cannot advance with you in his supply lines. You must hold the fortress till we can gather strength. I am unable to send any mason or carpenters with you as they are needed at Dunham. You will make due with what you have. Fill my coffers with gold however and I will send to you reinforcements. I have chosen you because I know you will get the job done.
