Dear players, I have heard of your major victories in the last months so I'm offering you some time off, far away from any dangerous missions and a little game to keep you ocupied all this time. The rulles are simple:
You start with a nice castle o this map, made in the memory of Tupac Amaru Shakur (aka 2pac)

Your castle is in the 6 and you have an enemy in the 9. The idea is to kill the enemy.The Only problem is that you can't produce any troops.
The only way to get troops is to kill 10 of enemy's troops with what you allready have. For each 10 troops killed you get 11 archers (and a priest). BUT for each 10 troops lost you get 40 macemen ---> as new enemies.............
If you ever remain without troops you can use your king to kill some enemies but it's a simple map so I don't think anyone could ever lose all troops

The map also contains some tricks for map making that are usefull for begginers like a gatehouse with 3 drawbridges (i could as well do one with 4) or very tall wals and long ladders

This is it... good luck playing and keep this vacantion short and get back to work as soon as possible to meet the real chalanges.

Note I've updated the map after stratego's rating. also remember that the macemen dissapear after you kill half of them...

Stratego Troublesome’96

Wow, Troublesome’96 is one of those creative and experimental maps, which you will always remember. Primarily we have got a kind of siege scenario with some components of invasions. It’s a funny, well-playable map, attracting you right from the beginning because of its tricky task. Here you can train your abilities by using wisely archers and crossbowmen for your attacks. You have to proceed very carefully to improve your own situation to your advantage because of the tricky interactions triggered in the game. Simply to explain: Your archers have to kill 10 enemies in each case, then you will get reinforcements (new archers), but if you will fail and loose 10 archers by yourself, a group of macemen(bandits) consequently will approach. Now, here we have the little flaw in this exceptional scenario. When the bandits arrive in front of your gatehouse, they are mostly looking around and seemingly seeking for something. Then they turn around and suddenly disappear again without any injuries. The author wrote in his description that you cannot muster any military units, but it is not true. You are able to build barracks and to drill either archers and spearmen or Arabian slaves and “sling archers”. Maybe it might be better to cancel these options for more challenge. The map design is characterized by a few conspicuous eye-candies as the big letters of water written in the dessert’s sand or the plateau, formed as the number 96, where two small castles are integrated. Besides, the neat low wall structure drawing Leaveyou’s name is a kind of personal advertising gag.
To kill the enemy’s Lord will become a trial of your patience. The best tactics to fulfil this task will be to choose a group of archers and to attack the hostile Lord by curtain-fire from the distance. Economically all things perfectly work together.
Altogether, it is a remarkable, recommendable map, a must for both newbie and veterans.
