(Note: This is to be played on defending, although you are attacking for some reason when you set it to attacking you end up being the defending force).Greetings to all, this was the map we had created for the design competition castles of wood, men of leather. Unfortunately schoolwork got in the way and we couldn’t finish it in time, well we have now and its here for you all to enjoy.
Time of the Warlords.
Through the pass we had come, finally we had arrived. A bitter cold wind blew through the trees of the harsh Germanic lands; it had not snowed for days yet the cold was relentless. Crows circled overhead as if they new of the bloodshed that was to come. We had chased these barbarians out of our home and now we lay siege to our abandoned fortification in which the merciless warlord Duc Volpe had garrisoned and prepared his men.
We had sailed out of England and pursued the Germanic tribesmen, for almost half a year they had spread terror and death throughout, the country seemed lost and there was little we could do. Our main force away dealing with the Franks, the barbarians made their move. They arrived without warring and we had no knowledge of their intentions, we soon became all too aware.
Our will was strong and we had finally mustered the troops needed to chase them out of England, faster than that of the time in which they arrived they fled. We arrived in the Germanic homelands and met no resistance. Patrols were sent out to discover the enemies and their fortifications, old and derelict no garrisons were found. Cold and hungry we began to construct the fortification that we siege this very day. After a month of harsh weather and not a sign of the enemy we were given the order to leave, sail home we were told and leave this horror where is belongs.
With our force slowly depleting due to lack of nourishment we had no choice but to leave, the barbarians had won and no spoils were left for the Englishmen. As we reached the shores on which we had landed scenes of destruction were there to meet our ships, what few things we had were burnt and it was us who were stuck on the cursed lands of the Germanic peoples.
We were forced to hunt for food and like the tribes of barbarians who we so hated we became no more than savages.
Packed the meat for the land return to our fort is what we did and long was the journey indeed, cold and hungry we were lost in a place of death and fear, strangers to this world which we hate and with no hope left in us.
