Image Hosted by ImageShack.usDol Amroth is a city in Middle Earth South of Minas Tirith in the Bay of Belfalas. In this scenario Sauron (The Rat) is attacking the ancient fortress. It is of an ancient design and therefore extremely hard to conquer. But the Army of Sauron is vast, and does not think the task at all daunting.

Note: This scenario is a remake of the final mission of the singleplayer campaign. The terrain is the same, but with a few modified parts, but the castle is totally different.

Hello, Lord Thingol.

I apologize if you or others see this review to be unfair, but here is my opinion.

The map was fun, it was interesting to defend the Wolf's castle. The map was quite difficult, I didn't make it to the last invasion. The enemy swarmed me and I had to fall back quickly or else lose my soldiers. I was forced to make some difficult decisions. Control my units or hire more soldiers. These decisions posed interesting gameplay, but the enemy mobbed me, and there was no strategy needed. For me it was just, hire soldiers and fall back until you are defeated.

In my opinion, the map was quite difficult, like I said previously, I didn't make it to the last invasion on easy mode. Get rid of some of invasions, it might help others get to the end and achieve victory so we can have some satisfaction. :)

I had fun playing this map because it was interesting to play using the Wolf's castle. There was not much creativity expressed in the map. The thing that saved you froma two was defending a castle you attack in the final mission of the Military Campaign. There was no real fancy tricks in the map, just a simple map with a defending twist to it.

Not much to say. No fancy scripting techniques or AI behavior. No building up of an army, just a massive clash of death and destruction. The scripting served its purpose, nothing more.

The story is quite average, it included a few sentences that describe a map that launches you into a massacre. Better than nothing, and the story gets you into the mood of the invasion ahead.

OVERALL: This map is all about the gaming expierience. Which is what the author intended on, I assume. A lot of people enjoy that kind of map, but others, like myself, do not. I look for a creative and a scenario that has its own traits that makes it unique and a joy to play on. Not much creativity or design, but instead, the map throws you into a fun gaming expierience.

Thanks for the review Lord Blood Hawk. Is see what you mean about the just sit and watch yourself get attacked, but I prefer the kind of mission where you defend a fully built castle

O.K. for anyone wondering how to win this, this is what I do:

Get all the archers on the second and third line of defence into the 2 Towers on the Max Height. Then get all of the melee troops into your Keep. After the third invasion, there is a short break. Use this time to repair and rebuild as many defensive positions as possible, starting from the closest to the Keep. If any gatehouse/ Tower is about to be destroyed, move all the archers/ crossbowmen on it to the wall nex to the structure. This will make them survive the longest.

Using this tactic I won the scenario with only 54% casualties.
