The end of our journey is nigh, this road has been long and hard. I have but few loyal subjects
left that remain in good health or spirits. Needs must that I provide them with the leadership
and compassion they so deserve for they're loyalty."Hector", Curse that bastard son of lord Percival
for his treachory, and curse me for the trusting fool that I am. If not for the bravery of my armies
my escape would not have been possible. Sit ye down Hector upon my shattered throne and survey what
is left of my ruined lands, for my subjects have left nothing of value to you in they're wake.
My lore master served me well when he discovered this forgotten place, this hidden valley. It is
said that the ancient ones watch over this place, that there is power here. We shall see. This is
where I will start anew, and this Hector is where your defeat begins...in this "Highland Vale".
This map has a finely detailed landscape, with all the resources available for play. Nothing is pre-built, which gives the player the opportunity to do whatever they want. I liked how the terrain gradually sloped uphill (or downhill, depending on how you looked at it!), and had fun making outlying little villages with cattle farms. My only suggestion for map design would be to make sure the edges of the larger rivers are blended in a bit more - if you look at them from some angles you can see some straight lines on the edges. Other than that, the stones, marshes, iron... everything was blended in very naturally!
Very well done map - lots of replayability here - recommended!
