The king granted Sir Edward Dalyngrugge to crenallate his mansion in Sussex to prevent from the threat of invasion.
Instead of that the lord decided to build a new structure.
The castle is just finished in time that french army begin an invasion near your stronghold.
Defend yourself and your land from the french regular army.
There is already a Bodiam map, and well done, but as I like much this castle I wanted to do my version of it.
Personnally I found it better, but most of people will do the same with their works, so try it to make your own opinion.
Nice map, plays really well and is suprisingly hard. It was clear that you had spent some time balancing the map as for me it played perfectly first time, only I just lost! The enemy siege equipment wasn't too effective though, siege tower unusable and the catupults although they did attack the walls as well also demolished some of your lovely lowered wall foot-bridge. Other than that the AI were superb and very quickly I was completely surrounded and my defences stretched to the limit. Playable and well balanced!
For map design and creativity the map does score a little lower, the castle in real life is a simple one and has been re-created well but maybe the surroundign features could have been more creative and more realistic. The foot-bridges were very well done, good piece of eye candy!
For storyline and instructions again perfectly fine, with an informative site description and minimap but very little story to the map at all, you have to think of a story to accomapany such a fun map to play! Overall though I would reccomend this map as a good, solid re-creation of Bodiam castle. Good work!

I personally thought that the fact that the seige equipment didn't work made it rather...crap is the only word I can think of.
And, all the melee seemed to do is attack the bridge.
I know that this map was made before it, but you should use this for future refrence:-
