There were much several legends about Kingdom of Great Peregrin and its impenetrable castles. Great Peregrin was a famous lord, who started constructing castles with very massive towers and walls. Best known forts were the „Great Eye“, Mangonel Fort, Secret Hole of Death and Heavenstower.
His people were very happy, but when crusaders stepped in his lands Peregrin and his kingdom had to leave their lands. Then the stories became legends. No one knows what happened to Peregrin, but those legends tell that Kingdom of Great Peregrin moved to Eastern deserts. There „peregrinners“ started building the „Great Eye“ – probably the strongest fort in his kingdom. After a few years kingdom was very big. King commanded his servants to build two castles (people call it „The Impenetrable Due“) – deadly and even more secret Secret Hole of Death and a stronghold called Heavenstower. It was placed next to the mountains and had terribly high towers, which were need special trained highland archers. People in this castle were happier than in any other town or castle.
Many years these three castles kep kingdom absolutely safe, but, unfortunately king Peregrin dead and his place took his son prince Nuneran. Nuneran wasn‘t a good war strategist, but people become even more happier. Not long Nuneran was able to defend kingdom, but he was a good specialist of ballistics and siege weaponry, so he commanded to build a massive fort with a large control zone – Mangonel Fort. This stronghold had about 20 mangonels and even more heavy towers. Long has this fort kep unbreakable, but one day the kingdom was lost by itself. Local bandits killed Nuneran and the chair of king was empty, people started a war and splitted in three sides: bandits (wanted to make all kingdom a big mess, where people won‘t feel happy), royal army (they fought for that the kingdom had no king, but later army remembered their own egos) and people, who wanted to have a peaceful life...
The story continues – some guardians of Joachim IV have discovered the Mangonel Fort, and, strangely, not broken! Keep your castle till Joachim with his people arrives. Don’t let Arabians take an empty strategically important castle.
The map is updated and a bit hardened and i think it's gonna be a little trouble!
This was a great map... unfortunately I had no problems with winning althow I was surrounded by all sides by the enemy because of the height advantage of the keep...(this explaines the playability rating)
I consider my ratings small but that may be because of the fact that I don't like "defending" tipes of invasions... I'm sorry for that but I didn't see anything special at the map design. It was great But you could have invented something original...
