Returning from a war your Lord and his army find their castle sieged. In spite of his wounds from the previous battle, the lord will try to reach his castle alone risking his life. Tray to stop him (giv him a task), until you clear the way to the castle with his army.
I played this map once on hard. I didn't save or restart.
Playability : The map starts very interesting, you have to break a siege to your castle with a large starting army.
Your Lord is among this army.
The army was MUCH to big though, when I had broken the siege and had builded the soldiers that were 'in' my armouries, I had a few hundred soldiers. I then had about half an hour to dig a LAKE (moat) with a few hundred soldiers. When the four big and ony attacks finaly came they were chanceless against my moat and archers.
This was NOT nice, it provided no challenge at all and was even boring.
Balance : this is an Invasion map, but it played like an extended siege, I didn't have to touch my economy even once!
Military part made no sence clearly too.
Creativity : the castle was very creative, with massive stairways leading up to the palace.
Also the idea to break a siege to your own castle from the outside is nice too.
Map Design : the map itself looked very pretty, it had nice rivers and a sea, and some beatifull plateaus. The castle was pretty as well, but is was much too strong, with 6 layer walls all around!
Story/instructions : The story was short but not bad, and it gave the instruction for how to save your Lord.
I would STRONGLY advice the designer to convert it to a siege and diable the moat building.
If I download an invasion map, I want it to play like an invasion, not a siege!
