The castle of Logmaar has a frightening weapon against the powerful armies, use of your mangonneaux with precision to demolish the sharp force of the attackers
Playability: 4
This map is great fun to play! All of those mangonel stones flying everywhere, crushing the enemy promised a good time! The castle that was to be defended was very strategic, I liked it. I thouroughly enjoyed playing this siege out. Very fun. Not too many crossbowmen, but quite a few mangonels and boiling oil engineers!
Balance: 5
Perfectly balanced, in my opinion. Not too much else to say in this category. But, congratulations for getting the AI to attack in appropriate numbers. A good balance system is essential for any map.
Creativity: 3
Very nice castle design. The walls crenulated on both sides looked very good. I liked the idea of the enemy charging out of a forest into an open field and to the castle to do battle. That looked especially good.
Map Design: 4
Very nice work here. I liked the rocky coast by the castle, that looked marvelous. However, I think a few more textures could have been added to the fields. Dirt, grass, stones, shrubs, and rocks would have made the terrain more interesting to look at. The coastline in the south needs a little work. Grass by an ocean doesn't look very realistic, as the salt water would kill off much vegetation. Try adding a rocky coastline with a beach. Get creative.
Story/Instructions: 1
There was a little story in the Stronghold description box, but it was in French. Please give us the English version so we can understand what is going on. And the sentence you gave at the download page won't be enough to get a high score, I apologize. Put more time and effort into the story of your map. If you would have written a good story, you may have scored a 3 or a 4. That would have added a great boost to your overall score!
OVERALL: It pays to write a story for a Stronghold map, it really does. It really will boost your scores in the final tally. But, moving on, the rocky coastline was excellent, congratulations on that. Kudos for making a fantastic castle design. Keep adding those little details into your maps and you will go far with your Stronghold designing career. Keep at it.
