Minimap:
Arming the Regiment

This is a large map based off one of the maps I made in 2003.
That map (Hiruilind Castle) is available Here

Yes, that map was made by Azteca15, but during 2003 that was my alias. (My friend and I switched usernames, and he promptly destroyed the Azteca15 account)

Anyways:

STORYLINE:
----------------------------------
The situation was not desirable. Bandits had invaded the camp of the King's 58th Pike Regiment. All of the weapons had been stored in a small warehouse. During the middle of the night, bands of Southerners snuck into the camp and stole all of the Regiment's weapons. The Pikemen are left weaponless and defenseless, while the enemy force has just acquired the valuable pikes marked with the "Tower" symbol. You must build up enough pikes to resupply the Regiment. You have alarming reports that more Southerners are approaching Hiruilind Castle, your home, with great force. You must fight off multiple attacks, and store up enough pikes to refit the men.
----------------------------------

The terrain aspect of the map is not very good, but I completely redid the castle.

Enjoy,
Colosseum

This map was very easy.

Playability:
I was given so many troops and such a well defended castle that I didn't have much trouble defeating the enemy. I got a bunch of my troops to dig extra levels of moats which meant all the heavily armed enemy troops (swordsmen, knights etc) Couldn't get near. Also there was no time limit so I had as long as I needed to get enough pikemen ready.

Balance:
I had far too many troops compared to the enemy which was easily defeated each time.

Creativity:
I haven't played the old map so I judged this as a new piece. I liked the idea of being part of a larger setting, by looking after another army.

Map design:
I liked the way the castle wsa set out, with the different rings of defence and the way everything looked.

Story:
A little short. I prefer longer stories personally. It was still quite good and well written.
