Deinvruut was a small settlement along the Sea of Eilkilon that was established in 1480. Right from the git-go Deinvruut was subject to attacks from the East. A young psychopath named Azildius Konstanitius vowed to destroy the small settlement because it was a settlement from the North. The North was the democratic state that put the East in a difficult debt from high taxes. A war was announced in 1489 from the East launching a ttacks against the North and West.
Deinvruut was a target of the main fighting. The war lasted a long time, especially in the other counties near Deinvruut, where the fighting was up to 100 times worse. Konstanitius had the war won in 1510, but the North sent in a massive army to relieve forces 10 miles outside of Deinvruut. This led to a collassal battle in 1511 near Einnevretup. The battle lasted for 5 days and nights.
Konstanitius and 130 of his 18,000 men survived it. The North lost nearly 38,000 men. The North won the battle, but lost 2 counties in the west; Haichlesch and Einuttreif. Deinvruut would still be a thorn to Konstanitius. He decided to pull out his 2 regiments on one full assault.
This led to a failed attempt, but he did knock off 2 walls and half of another. His army killed about 300 men, whilst losing only 240. The North decided to send men to Deinvruut due to many concerns on whether it will hold until the secondary armies from the west are done training. In 1516, the last siege is planned. Konstanitius orders his last 900 men to take the attack position near Runitshulv.
Runitshulv was the tiny valley near Deinvruut, and the place where Konstanitius' regiment stood ready for the attack. The attack happened out of surprise and the men at Deinvruut where caught off guard. At first it appeared that Deinvruut would lose, even when they countered countless onslaughts from assault infantry. The attack was smart and very cunning. Konstanitius had another idea in attacking the castle from the side.
He laid 100 spearmen in thick formation marching in front of 100 swordsmen. The spearmen were picked off, but the swordsmen and some spearmen remained intact and they tore the side wall to ruin and eventually the 100 men defending it. Another 50 spearmen rushed the side gatehouse, but they ran into a small snag, about 50 archers and musketmen were positioned nearby. This mistake led to a tad problem for Konstanitius. More problems started to surface including a shortage of ammunition for the archers and musketmen.
Problems would surface for Deinvruut as well, including a shortage of defenders. Peasants decided to take up arms to fight as well. Things seemed to be going to their advantage now that Konstanitius was starting to falter. This was a good sign for the troops defending, as now they were going to win. Konstanitius was screwed, so he threw himself into the main fighting, he was never seen alive again.
The battle ended early morning on Jan. 23, 1518. The result was probably a comlete failure for the East. They lost over 245,000 men from 1481-1518 and more than 300,000 were wounded or captured. They lost several counties and would lose their state in 1547. The war was a waste of time and a waste for the population.
The loss was over 2,500,000 men, women, children, soldiers, nobles, dukes, royals, and cretins that perished from the war. Another 2,000,000 more die from famine. 500,000 more from pestilence. The four horsemen visited for nearly 40 years and killed well over 5,000,000 people in Trovastakia. Things happened for a reason, but maybe this map doesn't have to happen this way.
War is the game and Death is the reward for failure. Famine and Pestilence are your weapons. You lead your armies into countries and inflict this. Your reward is complete control of two countries filled with death, disease, chaos, devastation, uprisings, disasters, and war. That's the way the game is played and that's the way you'll end up playing it if you want this path, so enjoy it or kill it to stay subtle and content within yourself. |
